Dress-Up For The Wonderbolts

[Rainbow Dash]

Rainbow Dash was walking to Rarity's dress shop, excited to get there. She had heard that Rarity was invited by one of her friends in Canterlot to go to a Wonderbolts derby, and that she was going to bring her and Twilight with her! Rarity had told her to meet her at the shop at noon.

When she got to the shop, she went up to the front door. She was about to knock, but then she checked the time on a watch she had brought and saw that it was 11:11. She decided she had a little time to spare. She flew up to a cloud, got herself comfortable on it on it, and had a quick nap.

When she finally awoke, she stretched her wings and checked the time. She panicked when she saw it was 12:18! She quickly flew down to the shops front door and knocked on it.

While it was true that Rarity had promised to meet up with Dash at noon, she was still sound asleep. She heard the knocks and just turned over in bed...for a while. When the knocks were getting too annoying, she threw her sleep mask off of her face and rinsed the mud off of her face. She quickly levitated the comb and began brushing her mane as she made it to the door. She opened the door while brushing.

"Ah Rainbow Dash...sorry I couldn't come to the door any sooner, you see I was a little behind on my beauty sleep. Now, come in, won't you?" Rarity asked, stepping aside for her friend. "As the situation stands, Fancy Pants has allowed me to bring you and Twilight to watch the derby. But I simply cannot let you go dressed...in nothing. And your old Gala dress is so last season. So, we're going to get you something else that's simply divine."

"Now," Rarity looked towards her stand with the mirror next to it. "If you could possible stand up there. We're going to get your a dress that's simple 'cool'."

Rainbow Dash let out a big sigh. She really didn't want to get a new dress, but it was the least she could do. After all, Rarity was being very generous by taking her to this derby. She reluctantly got on the stand and looked at herself in the mirror.

She started to do poses in front of the mirror. She wanted to savor how she looked now, because she never liked putting on dresses, and she knew she would probably be wearing dresses for the next several hours. "Sorry about arriving late Rarity. I lost track of the time while I was napping."

"Aaaanyway..." She said almost immediately after her previous sentence, trying not to draw to much attention to her lateness. "Have you heard from Twilight yet? Are you gunna do this whole dress-up thing with her too?"

"Actually..." Rarity paused for a moment. "It seems I haven't been able to get a hold of her." Rarity looked over towards the dress she had picked out for Rainbow and smiled. "Now there's an idea~ A fine one, if I do say so myself." Rarity levitated the dress and set it nicely next to Rainbow. "Put this dress on, and go get Twilight. Tell me exactly what you're thinking when you're wearing the dress. Does it fit well, can you fly freely, be sure to tell me everything."

"Tell her to meet us here in less than an hour, we'll need to go all together, since Fancy Pants gave me three train tickets." Rarity opened her Boutique door and hurried Rainbow Dash out. "Go on now, you haven't much time!"

Rainbow Dash picked up the dress and looked at it, giving yet another sigh. She still wasnt crazy about putting on a dress, but she realized that there wasn't time to argue or to critisise the dress. She hurried out the door in the direction of Twilights library, putting on the dress as she ran.
