Twilight had been waiting outside by the path leading to the market. She and Rarity had been spending more and more time together with the others being busy as bee's. This day was no exception. Quite the oppositie in fact, as Twilight had alot to tell Rarity about concerning a couple colts. One of which she wouldn't just be telling Rarity about, but thanking for as well.
The day ticked away as Twilight waited. She normally told her friends to meet her at a time then she'd arrive five minutes early. She liked being early. It let her compose her thoughts. It let her ponder the world itself. It let her get lost in her own world of thoughts where she was peaceful. She heard hoofsteps near her and she snapped out of her trance.

Unfortunately for Twilight, she would have to wait just a little longer. A certain pony had ordered a tuxedo from her and she wanted to get this one just right. She struggled with the order all night, and still simply could not get the design right. After a little quarreling with Opal, and a lot of restarting all together, she decided she would set the project aside for now, and simply meet up with Twilight and fulfill their prior engagement.
Rarity grabbed her brush as she trotted out the door, as she had been up all night, not brushing it. She hurried to their location, curling the brush up inside of her tail. Her tail was not very strong, not usually meant for holding things, so when she went to turn and look behind her, the brush fell from her tail, dropping onto the ground. Rarity hadn't noticed this until she took one step, and some of the brush stuck into her hoof.
Rarity continued to walk, lopsided, but still with a smile. It felt like she was stepping on pins, and couldn't get them out. Since she couldn't get a proper view of beneath her hoof, and was much too tired to lay down and play around to try and see, she continued her walk. She eventually met up with Twilight, and was going to mention something about her hoof, but...Twilight looked so happy. Much too happy to be disturbed by anything that might ruin her happiness. So Rarity would have to endure the pain, at least until Twilight was done with her thing. "Twilight, darling! I'm so happy you called me out today! So tell me, why did you call me out here again?"

Twilight looked over at her friend, blissfully unaware that she had been late at all. "Rarity! Good to see you!" She said, giving her a hug. Today was a happy day for Twilight. "Remember? I just thought that you and I could have lunch together and talk a bit." She said smiling brightly. "I found a nice place we could eat at just over here." She said, gesturing to it a little ways over.
She began to walk along side Rarity over to the café. The sign said "The corner café", named for being located at the street corner. It was a nice little place. Twilight asked the stallion at the front for a couple outdoor seats and the two were quickly seated. "Your waiter will be her momentarily." He said departing. Twilight layed the menu down, casually looking it over, putting off telling her what was on her mind.

Rarity kept her grin, and continued swatting at the brushes still in her hoof. She had nearly gotten over the pain, and now that she was sitting, could get a proper look at her hooves, but what kind of well-mannered pony plays with their hooves at the table? No well-mannered pony, that's who. To take her mind off of the objects in her hoof she levitated the menu in front of her. Rarity looked over it once, not too impressed with the menu. She set the menu aside, and decided it would be best not to eat. Her stomach decided otherwise.
She looked down to her stomach, which was growling, due to the late night she pulled, staying up to make the tuxedo. She once again levitated the menu and scanned the menu up and down, finally settling for some tea with a small croissant. "I do believe I've chosen my order." Rarity noted, setting the menu aside. "Now, Twilight. You asked me over just to eat a snack? Are you certain we couldn't have done it at the Boutique. I have an order to fill you know. What could be so important?!"

Twilight withdrew a bit from her glee. "Sorry if I didn't tell you soon enough Rarity. I just... wanted to talk about the situation with the two colts. I had a really good tme with them both." She said trying to get to the point. Rarity seemed a bit on edge."I know you sent Fenris to my house to try and get us together." She said looking emotionless at Rarity.
Her expression then changed, revealing a slow, but happy smile. "Thank you, Rarity. From the bottom of my heart. He's so nice, and cute, and..." She decided not to prattle on and on. "I just thought I would be nice and treat you to lunch. Kind of to repay you." She said. Rarity was good at concealing it, but Twilight could tell she needed to relax a bit. Maybe the quaint lunch would do her nerves some good.

Fenris had been taking a small break from his duties so he had been in the backroom, relaxing for a moment before heading back to the cafe proper. He arrived at the desk where he had left his notepad and pencil. The clerk told him that customers had arrived just now, Fenris nodded picking up the notepad and pen tucking them into the apron he was wearing.
He headed for the outside table that he had been directed at noticing that he knew at least one of the customers. The white coat and purple mane and tail were quite regocnisable. She was sitting facing slightly towards the cafe. But once Fenris continued a bit further he came to a sudden halt as he noticed the second customer who was sitting with her back towards him, but even so he instantly regocnised her. He felt a warm smile spread on his face as the memories of that night came flooding back.
He shook his head knowing that he had job to do and so he started forward once more and approached the table silently and out from Twilight's line of sight, giving Rarity a wink he knew what he was about to do to be a little childish, but he couldn't help himself. He ended up standing a few steps behind Twilight.
"Ladies, are you ready to place your order?"

Twilights ears twitched, alerted by the noise behind her. No, it couldnt be..... She turned her head slowly to see none other than Fenris. Great. How was she supposed to talk about Fenris when he was right here? More importantly, how was she supposed to talk at all? Would he judge her? What if she made a fool of herself? Should she pretend she didn't recognize him? Surely he'd be offended if she did!
"O-oh! Um... Fenris! I-.... I didn't know you worked here!" At least she was honest. Burning red, but honest. Now she had forgotten what she wanted. Great. Twilight thought she had learned to control her thoughts around Fenris. She felt helpless and confused. Like at Nightmare Night. It was probably because she wasn't prepared. She tried to calm herself with a few short breaths.
"I'll have the daffodil and daisy sandwich. And a glass of water, if that isn't too much to ask..." She said, being careful not to be demanding. It was alot harder to order when you really care weather or not you're burdening them. Then she thought about Rarity. She seemed a tad rushed. Was this going to make her stay longer? Was she upsetting Rarity? Twilight's mind was bogged down with concerns.

Rarity watched the scene unfold. The two looked at each other for a while as Rarity's smile grew larger. She knew exactly what was going on. There was no need for such a long pause, or for Twilight to stutter. Rarity knew this was something she shouldn't know, but was happy to know. After all, everything went according to plan. Fenris met up with Twilight, then the meeting at the spa, and viola.
"Actually, dear. I don't believe I will be having anything." Rarity wasn't very hungry, and this news was filling enough. "I suppose the two of you are together now, correct? So, tell, tell. Have you two kissed yet? When, where, how long?" Rarity was excited that she could speak to the two at the same time.

"Well I ended up working here by accident..." He turned to look at the new railing next to where Rarity and Twilight were sitting.
"I kinda crashed in and so here I am paying back the debt I incurred as part-time waiter..."
He laid the notepad on the table and took down Twilight's order a smile appearing on his face due to the manner she spoke to him and turned to Rarity to see if she was ordering something and promptly getting caught off-guard by her question and dropping the pencil on the notepad, but he recovering quickly and turning to look at Twilight to try to gauge her reaction before turning back to Rarity.
"Very well, Miss Rarity. I shall be back shortly." He asked picking up both the pencil and the notepad and heading for the desk.
It only took the cook a moment to have the order done and Fenris picked up the tray with her order on his wing and walked back to the table where Twilight and Rarity were sitting. He placed her order on the table and took a step back looking around the cafe and then waving at the clerk to notify him if customers came by. He then turned his attention back to the table.

As soon as Fenris had left the two alone, Twilight dropped her smile. "Rarity!" She said, making sure to be quiet, "We cant talk about him now! Hes here! Do you know what this means??" She then paused a moment, in realisation. "Well.... I dont actually know, but I dont want to do anything that will make Fenris not like me, okay?" She said, hoping her friend would understand.
"But...." She started just before Fenris returned, "We did kiss." Her tone had changed and a giddy smile spread across her face.
And not a moment later the plate slid on to the table, and it looked alot less appetising than it had before Twilight knew Fenris was here. For starters, she was thinking to much to eat, second it would be akward to eat while niether Fenris nor Rarity ate. However, she took a bite as not to be rude, and set the sandwich down with full intent to not finish it. It seemed Fenris was staying to talk, so much for not talking about him.
Twilight was sure Rarity would go crazy if she hadn't the chance to get details on the date a few days before."S-so Rarity," She began, glancing at Fen, "I guess you have a few questions? Im sure you're curious..." She said, only hoping that Rarity wouldn't be too invasive. Fenris probably wouldn't mind, but Twi didn't like her face burning 24/7....

"Oh? I can see this is quite an awkward situation between you two, I won't pry any further." Rarity smiled as she took a sip of her water and smiled at the two. As it seems, the two had really grown to love each other, just as Rarity had planned. "I'm just proud you two found each other." Rarity giggled, hoping it would break the tension. "I've actually grown a little hungry. Could I perhaps have an order of a lettuce sandwich with a hint of ranch dressing? Much appreciated."

Fenris picked up his notepad and quickly wrote down Rarity's order, he then rose up smiling at the two mares.
"I'll be back shortly with your order, miss Rarity." He turned and headed to the counter and then stood there waiting for the cook to finish the order.
He could only see Rarity from this spot and he started wondering what the two were discussing about. He almost had in mind to try and sneak near enough to hear them, but he quickly shook the idea from his head, he didn't want to do something like that.
When he got Rarity's order he noticed a group of four ponies entering the cafe, he let out a small sigh and then headed to deliver the order. He placed the plate with the sandwich in front of Rarity in same manner he had done to Twilight earlier. He then gave a bried bow to the mares.
"Regretfully I must take my leave, duty calls." He turned to go back inside, but stopped after three steps and turned back to look at Twilight.
"Twilight... are you free in the evening?"

In the time Fenris was gone, Twilight didn't say much. She was glad Rarity picked up on her thoughts. This hadn't turned out exactly how she had planned, but nothing particularly bad had happened, right? Twilight's confidence began to grow within her. Why was she so afraid she would embarass herself? Nothing had happened yet, and even if something had, she doubted Fenris would care.
When Fenris returned saying he had to go, Twilight was somewhat sad. She just got over her shyness and now he had to part with her. Then his question came, and she remembered that [it was today. "Oh, Fenris... I... have somewhere to be, sorry. Maybe tomorrow, or the day after?" Twilight said. She looked to her sandwich. Maybe she would finish it after all...

Fenris looked a bit dejected for a moment when Twilight replied, but smiled again once Twilight asked if later would be alright. He thought about the weather schedule and then felt his smile widen.
"Tomorrow should be perfect, it's going to be a cloudless night..." He remembered seeing a telescope at the library and wished that his guess would be correct.
"I need to get back to work now, I'll see you ladies later." He gave them a small bow and headed for the table the group that had just arrived had chosen.
