"I'm SO! BORED!"
Sweetie Belle defeatedly yelled out from downstairs. When Rarity said she wold like to spend the day with her, Sweetie Belle was ecstatically happy, overjoyed even. Rarity almost never wants to spend time with her when she isn't forced to under penalty of grounding by her parents. Sweetie followed her sister to the mall jumping and teeming with energy. She was so happy nothing seemed to rain on her parade.... until they actually went shopping.
Sweetie became the pack mule of the trip, following Rarity from store to store as she carried whatever the material mare desired of her. After the first several stores, the energy waned and the filly realized just exactly why Rarity decided to let her tag along. Finally after the twenty third store of the day, they returned home. Sweetie Belle exhausted and bored watching Rarity try on all the 'BIG MARE' clothing, Her main excuse for not letting Sweetie Belle do anything.
"Rarity... the sign didn't say I had to be as old as you to wear the clothes...." The small mare said slightly angry at the element of generosity who... wasn't living up to her title.
She put on one of the dresses her sister bought, it was very ragged on her, waaaay too large. 'Se*squeak* ee!"

Rarity meanwhile, was paying no attention to her sisters tensions. The only thing she was upset with is the twenty-fourth store they were going to visit. One called Fab Fashion, which specialized in selling gemstones at high prices, with a stern policy on returns. Lucky enough, Rarity knew the owner, Crystal Shell, and usually got the jewels half-price. Especially since Rarity's birthday was coming up, she would have gotten even more of a discount. Rarity sighed and looked ahead of her little sister, not paying attention to her actions concerning the dress.
"Sweetie Belle. Why in Equestria did we have to leave before hitting that store! You were doing so well. All I needed was thirteen more onyx gemstones to complete the dress for one of the richest ponies in Canterlot!" Rarity sighed. "Well, if you really couldn't hold anymore, I suppose it's alright." Rarity looked back to her sister with a sincere smile, but her face changed to a loud squeal once she saw what Sweetie Belle was doing. "This dress is fabulous, you'll see. Blue ruffles at the end, I'm sure you'd-" Rarity yelled, "SWEETIE BELLE! GET THAT DRESS OFF YOU THIS INSTANT!"
Sweetie Belle had just so happened to toss on Rarity's most important dress, which Sweetie was stepping on. "S-Sweetie Belle! You're spreading it!" Suddenly, a large riiiiiiip was heard and the dress tore in half. "S-Sweetie...do you have any idea what you just did?! I don't even have enough fabric to put that back together!!" Rarity was steaming mad and began furiously yelling at the filly. "Why is it that every time I do something with you, you seem to ruin it!"
Rarity's promise to never be sister-less slipped her mind, but still remembered the picture, and all the bad things that happened when she was gone. "S-Sweetie Belle! Come out from under that dress!" Steam shot from her nostrils and ears.

"Opps..."
Sweetie Belle seemed to make a single movement that completely demolished Rarity's dress. It was a rather bitter event because Sweetie feared it was probably her favorite.... and it that was indication enough the second sweetie looked up from the broken sheets of fabric at her sister the only thing she could see was the furious look of the glorious white mare staring back at her. Sweetie Belle eeped back with fear.
She didn't know exactly what to do in this situation. At first she thought about asking if she could use the sewing machine to fix the dress..... then she remembered that she BROKE the sewing machine a while ago and rarity would probably be less then enthusiastic in allowing her to touch it ever again in this life-time. Sweetie had to think of something quick, but it completely escaped her. She accepted defeat and her fate at the hooves of Rarity.
Slowly, she let her small filly form to emerge from the remains of the dress. Rarity was about to explode with anger; Sweetie could tell, she'd seen that face ALOT of times. Sweetie was scared unsurprisingly as she slowly walked over to Rarity, her head hanging in sadness at her actions.
"I-i....I'm sorry Rarity... Last time you tried on dresses you said I could only do it when I was older... I'm... a few weeks older... I thought that'd be enough..."

Rarity growled at her little sister, showing her teeth. "Three weeks older is not, I repeat, NOT old enough. How about, when you're bigger than me, or my age, then, and only THEN can you try on my dresses without my permission. Rarity turned her head, passing her mane to the other side of her horn, and mumbled something under her breath. "Maybe then you'll learn some responsibility, and be mature about your choices." Rarity levitated the dress out from under Sweetie, and set it to the side.
"Now, I'm going out to buy some new fabric so I can put this dress back together." Rarity said, making her way to the door of the Boutique. She opened the door and signaled to Sweetie Belle with her head, then gestured the outside. "I can't have you ruining any more of my dresses. Go play with one of your friends while I'm out."

Her head hanging low, Sweetie Belle slowly trotted out of the front door, disappointed in herself. She thought she was mature enough to wear Rarity's clothing but she was wrong. Completely wrong apparently. Gradually she looked up to her sister with her sad face, unfortunately it was met with not a single ounce of sympathy. The small filly's head went back towards the ground as she made her way through the doorframe and outside the boutique. She sniffled but didn't cry, she had to show Rarity she was an older pony.
The filly laid down on a nearby bench and watched Rarity lock the door. It made her think of Appleboom and her sister again. She was certain that the two never fought against one another.... at least not as often as Sweetie Belle and Rarity. She frowned and kicked a small rock off the bench next to her before looking back up at Rarity who seemed to be finished closing and locking the door.
"But Scootaloo is in her club meeting and Applebloom is doing Ch*squeak*ores today!"

Rarity watched her sister for a moment, and once the filly came to realization that the two were busy, Rarity was still much too angry to share a glace with her sister. She flipped her mane over to the other side of her horn and began trotting away in the direction of the fabric store. Rarity was extremely angry with her sister, but she knew that a little shopping would calm her down, and then maybe she would apologize if her sister hadn't got into any trouble recently. It seemed she was always getting into fights with her sister. This moment made her also think of the relationship Applebloom and Applejack shared together. If only her sister could be more responsible like Applebloom was...

Sweetie Belle Sighed as she watched her sister trot off. her thoughts turned to how she could fix this little problem of hers. It was always 'Sweetie Belle you're too little' And 'Sweetie Belle, you're not mature enough.' The small filly was sick of it. She was almost more tired of hearing that from her sister then even having an entire lack of a cutie mark... wait... in fact she was! Rarity had been hanging this over her head for what seemed like years! This time the filly was fed up. She stomped her hoof into the wooden boards of the bench with a loud clatter.
Applebloom always said when somepony doesn't have the answers Zecora always did. She had introduced the CMC to the enchantress after the whole cutie pox incident. While Sweetie Belle was a little afraid at first, she did warm up to the zebra in time. Maybe the unusual pony would have some answers Sweetie Belle seeked. With determination in her stride she hopped off the bench and toward Zecora's hut in Everfree.
