Nandh'Ji walked at a calm pace through the town, the hood of his cloak up and the small silver bells in his small saddlebags ringing softly under his cape. The townsfolk were beginning to get used to the outlander walkig the streets, and didn't offer him odd, long glances anymore, a few even greeted him, and he greeted them back happily. The east-born stallion liked this little, peaceful town and the ponies that lived there; they were friendly and down-to-earth, without as much as an ill thought of others.
Today he had no time to stay and chat with them, like he often would, but instead, hurried through the streets towards his destination, the shop of Ponyville's most famous seamstress, a white Unicorn mare called Rarity. He wasn't as interested in the clothes or the fashion, as he was about a certain pony who'd be there today, and he'd been taught to always be early for meetings!
Nandh'Ji arrived at the Carousel Boutique, and entered the building. He immediately looked around for the owned; she was quite a sight, as word around town was. ”Greetings! This one is Nandh'Ji Rajem, and I ask for a permission to linger”, he called out in a polite tone, yet his accent betrayed that he was not a local; he prolonged the vowels and his intonation was.. odd, to put it nicely. No doubt the fashionista would be off somewhere designing a new set of clothes for nobles or other high-class ponies.
The stallion looked at the model ponies wearing different outfits. They were indeed skillfully made, and would do their bearer honor. He thought about importing them to his homeland, but then remembered that he was no longer a merchant prince, and smiled by himself. Old habits die hard, it seems, he thought.

The young, blue mare had all but galloped (maimed leg allowing) to the large, circular building - before it had closed for the day. She needed to order a new, formal-ware dress for herself and a two smaller outfits for her foals.
She smiled fondly as she thought of the two: Deanna and Cogent. They were still young, and were not yet of school-age.
Denith Skies had just finished the day's work of servicing Ponyville's clocktower, and hadn't even had a chance to clean herself up. Grease stains smudged her face and coat, her silvery grey mane in a loose, messy bun behind her head.
Entering into the Carousel Boutique with a noticable limp, she looked around nervously. "H - hello...? Anypony here? I hope I'm not too late - I need to order a few items..."

Unbeknownst to Rarity, there were two potential customers at the ground floor of her Boutique. Rarity was much too busy in her inspiration to notice the two. "Sweetie BEEEELLE!" A voice shouted as crashing and banging could be heard upstairs. There was nothing to hear for a while until a purple maned pony came down the steps to notice the two. "E-Eh...O-Oh, hello. Can I help either of you?"
Rarity blew the hair from her face and smiled at the two. She expected to at least remember one of them, but both of the ponies were knew. "A-Ah, I see you're both new to this place. Well, let me restart, wont you?" Rarity flipped her hair to the other side of her horn. "Welcome to the Carousel Boutique, where our fabrics are chic, unique and manefique."

The door opening and closing again caught Nandh'Ji's attention, and he turned swiftly around, and examined the newcomer. Grease-stained and obviously straight out of work, just like he had seen her. The stallion took a few long steps and greeted Denith with a bow, brushing the hood off his features. "Greetings, miss Skies. This one has been expecting you; I am Nandh'Ji Rajem, most humbled by your presence", he said rather abruptly. He smiled in a warm and friendly manner to the mare, stepping aside when yet another voice was heard.
He looked at Rarity as the mare came down the stairs. So, this was the proprietor of this wonderful shop? He bowed to her, as well. "Nothing for this one, sadly. Although I must share my awe regarding your fabrics and garments; the work is most.." the stallion paused, smiled and thought of the right word for a moment. This Equestrian language was so deceitful! Words often escaped him.. although he didn't have much experience speaking it, he thought such ineptitude quite rude. "Excellent, is it? Yes, that's it. Pardon my clumsy tongue."

Denith perked up, surprised at seeing another stallion. She wasn't expecting another pony other than the proprietor at this time - after all, it was near closing time. Her heart skipped a beat at the mention of her name, more in fear than anything.
"Y - you know my name? I - How do you know my n - name?" she stammered nervously, taking an uneasy step backwards. "I - I don't think we've met before?"
She didn't have time to dwell on this strange pony - Nandh'Ji Rajem as he called himself, as the proprietor of the store came down the stairs. Her expression immediately sent second doubts into the clock-maker; it seemed Rarity was not actually expecting anypony.
"Oh! I, uh, I can come back at a later stage if I'm inconveniencing you..." Denith said, taking another step towards door. "I - I only wanted to order a few dresses...o - one for myself, and a set for my foals..."
She offered a weak grin, obviously marred by the grease marks on her face and coat.

Nandh'Ji nodded and offered a friendly smile at Denith, waving his hoof dismissively. "My apologies, miss Skies. This one has heard of you, but we have not had the pleasure to meet before this moment in time", he explained himself. The outlandish pony couldn't just blurt that he'd seen her in a vision - he had quickly learned that in Equestria, 'seeing visions' was the same as 'crazy pony.' He moved back a few steps, out of Denith's way. "If you have business to take care of, pay this one no heed - I merely wish to request an audience. Oh, and call me Starmist Veil, if you please."
"To elaborate, before I retire, my desire is to discuss the machinarium - clockworks and their ilk, but as said, this one's business is not, ah.. urgent, yes." He retained a soft-spoken, friendly manner, and returned to admiring the works of tailoring that littered the store, fascinated by their form and the fabrics. He had an eye for beauty, and these clothes and garments were indeed works of art.
