"Well..." Rarity didn't want to tell Sweetie anything negative about Horizon. Telling her younger sister he used to be a thief? Completely out of the question. Telling her younger sister he used to live on the streets, and lie, cheat and steal his way through life, not a chance. Rarity could only assume that Horizon was better, and that he would most certainly be as clean as possible. "Well, of course he is, Sweetie. I wouldn't be able to live with somepony if they were vile and horribly disgusting, don't you know?" Rarity didn't usually use those wordings, but some of them slipped out. You could say it was her anger letting itself out of when she first saw Horizon stealing the gems.
"I could never live with a pony who lies...cheats or steals. Horizon is a nice pony." Rarity smiled warmly at her younger sister, trying to bring the anger back just a bit. At least now, for his sake, he's a nice pony. I can't imagine what he would do if the Crusaders pushed him too far. I do hope he'll be alright with them. After that thought, Rarity changed the subject back to having a friendly conversation with her sister. "And...do you want to know anything else about Nightmare Night? Perhaps any questions in general? I'd be happy to answer."

Sweetie Belle shook her head, she didn't have anymore questions for Rarity. Right now the only thing she could do was wait for the night to arrive and see whatever happens. She wasn't... entirely thrilled with the idea of having a colt she had little to no idea who he was. The only defining thing she knew about him was in one of the few times she passed by him at the boutique she heard the unique word "Hinny."
Already they weren't off to a very good start. She held an understandable grudge against the colt, but for the moment hid it from Rarity.
