Tyra flew around the lake, looking for something to eat. This area was new to her and it didn't help she ran out of food wile traveling. She had to leave the last town earlier than expected so she didn't get a chance to resupply. To her surprise there were barely any wildlife out in the open heading all the way here. She had to consume all of it on the way. "There we go." She dived down at the lake and quickly pulled up before hitting the water's surface, grabbing a good size fish that was swimming a little too close to the surface. As the fish gasped for air in her claws she flew over to a nearby tree and landed under it, digging into her catch.

Zathra walked towards the lake, he had be distracted lately, and he found that sitting alone at the lake was a great way for him to just think.
As he approached the lake, he saw an unusual sight. A griffon and it was flying towards the lake. It took a second to realize what it was doing, until it plucked a fish out of the water.
Zathra couldn't tell if it was a he or a she while the griffon was flying, but now that it had landed it was pretty easy for him to guess that it was a female, but he didn't want to annoy a male griffon by calling it a she, so he decided that if he did talk to the griffon, he'd at least wait to hear it's voice.
He walked up to the griffon, who had apparently started eating the fish. Zathra knew griffon's where pretty rare, so he figured he'd at least say hi. He looked up, giving a wave."Uh, hi. Nice day, huh?" Zathra smiled, hoping that this griffon was friendly, now thinking of how badly this could go.

She dug her beak into the fish, piercing the scales and skin to get to the meat underneath. As she tore into the flesh, few pieces of fish and scales stuck to her beak, she saw a shadow on the ground growing towards her direction. She looked up to see what was casting the shadow and saw a brown unicorn with green hair.
"Uh, hi. Nice day, huh?"
Tyra just looked at him for a moment before going back to digging into the fish. 'Ponies. Guess that town I saw before did have some life,' she thought. She just mumbled towards the pony's direction, beak still dug into the fish.

Zathra stepped back a little, seeing her not pay any attention to him, maybe it hadn't heard him? He spoke a little louder. "Hi! Um... you don't normally see griffon's around.. so uh... any reason you're here?" He tried to have a confident smile, but it just ended up an awkward forced smile, looking up at it.
