ABOUT THE CHARACTER –

Personality: No one can truely pin down Splitshift.. each of her constantly shifting personalities come with their own variety of kinks and quirks, each as shifting as her disorder. She may like a muffin one day, then want to blast it into space the next. Se is passionate, willing to go to any lengths for her friends and fiercely loyal however, she borders on insane and makes snap decisions with little or no logic to them which has lead her to having several odd fears: Diamonds (She finds their sparkle unnatural), Hedgehogs (she claims they steal your soul with cuteness) and Magnets (She claims to be aware of their plans for world domination).
Splitshift, in short, is a roller coaster. She is friendly, lovable, happy one moment, emo, crying then trying to suck your brain out through a straw the next moment. Ponies often speculate if her cutie mark is the result of her personality disorder, or if the personality disorder gave birth to the cutie mark. Either way, she stands by her motto of: Love, Tolerance and Death to all Magnets.
History: Splitshift was born to a seamstress in Canterlot, said to the be result of a scandalous affair. Her mother did the best she could to raise the young unicorn, but guilt over her past actions soon lead the seamstress to be taken by a wasting disease. That was when things started to get dark for little Splitshift.

She spent many a night on the streets of Canterlot, taking any odd job she could to earn shelter and food. She soon found herself a job as a delivery pony, but her mother reputation plagued her to no end. Try as she may, the little pony could not make any friends, nor gain the respect of her employers. So, she did the only sensible thing a young foal could do, she imagined her own friends.

What she didn't realize, was that these "friends" were not imagined, as soon become apparent to those around her. They were in fact, different personalities that manifested themselves in a physically distinguished way through the use of her unicorn magic.

But young Splitshift took no notice, she simply continued on as she always had, her mind twisted and changing with each day. It was not long before she was being labeled a lunatic.

As a teenager, she took a stance against this view of herself. She challenged any who dared to call her unstable. So she was moody? So her hair and eyes had a tendency to change with her moods? Why was she any less a pony than they? She had a job, she held her own, and her Mother's mistakes were not hers! Through such actions, Splitshift earned some begrudging tolerance from her townsponies. On that day, She earned her cutie mark, a Triquetra.

Tired of the discrimination she suffered due to her mother's past deeds, the young pony decided to leave Canterlot and set out on a journey. A journey full of friendship, love, blood and death. A journey that ended in a blink of an eye, and a journey about to begin again.
