Avante tilted his head to one side and made his way, pushing a few rocks together on the ground, before lifting the fishing pole and propping it between them. "If I can just..." he pushed the rocks together a bit more. "If we can get this to be secure, none of us'll have to hold it. We'll just have to be ready to snag it if something grabs our bait." He said gently.
He glanced to the pegasus and earth pony. "Unless you wanted to hold the rod... er..." He blinked. "I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name, miss...?" he murmured, glancing at Clover.

Clover watched Shake's struggles with the fishing rod intently. Was that how it was meant to work? Probably not. It didn't really seem like the sort of thing hooves were made for - that was usually where magic came in, but none of them were unicorns. Luckily, magic wasn't the only way, as Avante was now demonstrating... and apparently it had kept him so busy that he hadn't heard her name the first time.
"Clover," She repeated "Clover Quill." There was a short pause, and her eyes suddenly flicked to the sky in thought. "Though nopony ever uses the Quill part. I guess it's just Clover." Why was that, exactly? She'd never thought about it... had she ever even introduced herself with the last part of her name before now? Maybe it was just easier to say. "I like your rock trap thing, though!" Her focus quickly shifted back to the pegasus. "I mean, I could hold it if you want me to, but I think I wanna see how this turns out"

Shake looked at the fishing pole intently, taking a seat on the grass and switching his stare to the water. He looked around in an attempt to somehow find out the location of the jar, with no success at all. He sighed and looked back at the rod. "Alright, I'll just see how you do this now."

Avante sat down near the pole, watching the lake intently. "Now, we have to wait." he sighed, watching as the line to their makeshift fishing pole swayed slightly in the wind. "Not much fun, might I add." he said, looking back to the other two.
"So, Shake." he said, his tone changing to a more conversational one. "What was in that jar, by the way?" he asked. As he spoke, his eyes occasionally flickered over the lake, watching the line, and pole for any signs of tension.

Shake looked at the pegasus. "Oh. Well, the jar contains some of the most important and valuable ingredients I need." he explained. "I brought it out here in order to have them refreshed, because they were in there for a few weeks."
The young stallion looked back at the water, arching a brow at slight, but visible, vibrations around the pole's line. "I think something's gotten close. Be on guard, everypony!" Shake said, now interested in getting that jar back. Suddenly, though, from the water in front of them, steadily, a strangely funny and cute sight appeared.
A small turtle, not larger than Shake's hoof, was clumsily waddling around, slowly, with the glass jar stuck on his neck. Some of the ingredients, which appeared to be chocolates, still remained in the jar, though some of them half-bitten. The creature walked right into the black pegasus' hoof before blindly turning around and walking toward the mare, but stopping midway.
